Chongqing Urban and Rural Development Commission issued the "Residential Elevator Configuration, Selection and Installation Maintenance Standards (hereinafter referred to as the "Standards"). This standard is China's first mandatory local standard for residential elevator configuration and selection. It will be officially implemented on April 1 this year - newly designed residential high-rise buildings after April 1 must install elevators in accordance with this requirement. "Standard" It involves many major issues concerning people's livelihood, and the highlights are highlighted. Take a look below!

The "Standards" stipulate that when the number of residents on each floor exceeds 24 and the number of floors is 24 and above, the number of elevators should not be less than 3; when the number of floors is 35 and above, the number of elevators should not be less than 4.

The "Standard" stipulates that in high-rise residential buildings, the rated load capacity of elevators should not be less than 1,000 kilograms, and is made a mandatory provision.

The "Standard" also stipulates that the running time of the elevator from the main floor to the highest service floor should not be longer than 60 seconds. The rated speed of residential elevators should not be less than 1 meter/second. High-rise residential buildings should conduct special elevator passenger flow analysis and design, and the rated speed of elevators should not be less than 1.5 meters/second.

In order to actively respond to the aging society, the "Standards" changed the original number of floors required for elevators from "seven floors and above" to "four floors and above" - the "Standards" stated that residential buildings with four floors and above Or when the height of the resident entrance floor from the outdoor design ground exceeds 10 meters, an elevator should be installed. Elevators must be installed in residential buildings with seven floors or above or when the height of the entrance floor of the residents exceeds 16 meters from the outdoor design ground.

At the same time, the "Standards" require that in high-rise residential buildings, each residential unit should be equipped with at least one elevator that can accommodate stretchers. The length of the elevator that can accommodate stretchers should be greater than 1.6 meters, the width should be greater than 1.5 meters, and the clear width of the elevator door should be greater than 0.9 meters.
Now, in order to create private spaces, many developers promote the direct access of elevators to their homes. Owners can enter the elevator and swipe their cards to reach their floors directly. This is dangerous and should not be allowed.

The "Standard" states that if maintenance or rescue work must go through a private space, it will cause the rescue channel to be blocked, which is not conducive to the daily maintenance of the elevator and emergency rescue in emergencies such as power outages and fires, and poses a greater safety hazard. In order to eliminate similar hidden dangers, the "Standards" require that "elevator waiting halls should be public spaces."

Elevator maintenance: Regarding the maintenance during the use of elevators, the standard proposes that multiple elevator equipment installed in the same residence should be maintained by the same maintenance unit, and clarifies the elevator failure conditions that can immediately start the emergency use procedure of property special maintenance funds. .

The Municipal Urban and Rural Development Committee stated that this standard is an important part of Chongqing’s long-term elevator safety mechanism and an important technical support for the “Chongqing Elevator Safety Management Measures”. Its release and implementation will help solve the insufficient number of residential elevators from the source. , problems such as frequent elevator failures and long detention times caused by inadequate daily maintenance play a positive role and significance in ensuring reasonable elevator configuration, safe and efficient operation, and improving residential functions and residents' quality of life.
